Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, Inc.
Brain tumors are the leading cause of solid tumor death in children under the age of 20. The Fare Thee Well Foundation fully supports the efforts of the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, which is committed to helping families who struggle with this devastating diagnosis and to raising funds for crucial medical research. Since 1983, BTFC has provided millions of dollars for numerous brain tumor research studies and for the purchase of technologically advanced medical equipment for Emory University, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (a national network of medical institutions specializing in pediatric brain tumor research). Over the years, BTFC has provided nursing scholarships in the study of pediatric oncology as well as funded special positions at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Georgia State University to better serve the pediatric brain tumor population.

Georgia Wildlife Federation
The Fare Thee Well Foundation is concerned about runaway development in Georgia, water and air pollution and the loss of wildlife habitat. So, it’s only natural (smile) that we support the Georgia Wildlife Federation!

Since 1936, GWF has been leading efforts to protect Georgia’s wildlife, land, water and air. GWF is Georgia’s oldest and largest member-supported conservation organization and the state affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. Through advocacy and education, they encourage the intelligent management of Georgia’s natural resources. GWF is the statewide conservation organization that gets results! Most notably, GWF is fighting for National Forest protection, leading the battle to protect Georgia’s water as a public resource and a leader in environmental education. With our donations to GWF, the Fare Thee Well Foundation takes pride in safeguarding Georgia’s natural heritage for present and future generations.

 Kennedy Joiner Foundation

Kennedy was born in Vidalia, GA with her bladder on the outside of her body - a condition known as bladder extrophy. Although she has struggled since birth to live normal, and through many surgeries, she has taught us what love is and how precious life can be.

In August of 2008 she was hospitalized with new problems. She was diagnosed with chronic renal failure, basically meaning that her kidneys were shutting down. After days in the hospital and weeks of treatment she is now steady. She takes 11 medications every day and is required to get shots 2 times per week. Kennedy needs a new kidney BUT she can not get one until she has improvement with her bladder problem. In 2006 the first human bladders were grown from the patient's healthy bladder tissue and placed in the body. Only 6 were done.

She has been accepted by the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Tissue Research and is readying to go to North Carolina in hopes of receiving an autologous bladder graph. Sound expensive? Well it is, and she is with Georgia Medicaid so outside of Georgia and experimental medicine, you can only imagine! The Fare Thee Well Foundation, along with her Mother, Ginger, asks that you pray for her every day, and please make a donation of any size to the Kennedy Joiner fund.

“Al’s Fund”
Urgent and Immediate Need!

On Monday, June 7, 2010, 8-year-old Al Real, the son of our dear friends Zac and Angela Real, was critically injured, suffering third-degree burns over 80% of his body. He spent three months recovering at the Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and is now back home - and returned to school in Fall! The Fare Thee Well Foundation has set up a fund to help the Real Family with their medical, travel and incidental expenses. 100% of the money raised here (minus the credit card company fees) will go directly to the Reals. Please give generously to this wonderful family, and keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

If you’d prefer to mail a check, please address it to Fare Thee Well Foundation, P.O. Box 1084, Madison, Georgia 30650.
Write “Al’s Fund” on the check, please.

Fare Thee Well Foundation, Inc. is committed to spreading the spirit of “philanthromusicality” - the fusion of philanthropy and music. It is our goal to support and contribute to organizations who have limited exposure in their communities or little means to promote their causes. We actively identify those who are overlooked by large corporations, traditional charities and civic groups, and through music-related promotions provide them both a voice and financial assistance. Recipients of Fare Thee Well’s support include, but are not limited to: therapeutic programs using music, music programs aimed at underprivileged and/or special needs youth, and medical assistance for musicians experiencing financial duress. We hope that by creating an environment of appreciation through our fundraisers, benefits and music events, we may nourish a growing movement of philanthromusicality and civic responsibility in all those we touch. The Fare Thee Well Foundation, Inc. is a recognized 501(c)3
non-profit corporation with Federal Tax ID #26-0355008.
